Universal Connections: The Art of Living in God's Time by Christopher Reburn
We all want things to happen in our time, but it's often best when we let fate and destiny do their jobs. We all want what we want for various reasons, and sometimes those reasons are not always healthy or logical. Sometimes we set goals for ourselves that would take 10 people a year or more to accomplish, let alone just one person.
This is why it's so much healthier and spiritual to live instead of in your time, but in God's time when everything is possible and all logical and realistic goals and visions that you have will result in development which can help you to manifest all that you desire.
To get something from the universe, we have to give something to the universe. This is something that we should be doing each and everyday anyway. For example, when I wake up every morning the first thing I do is commune with the universal energies around me, then I send the universe as much healing energies as I can muster up. Then I ask for daily guidance and direction to help me reach all of whom I'm intended to reach that day, and then I seal it up with a prayer for the universe by focusing on specific areas of the world that are going through horrible circumstances and ask that all of the healing energy be directed to the highest good, and then I start my day and I'm ready to rock!
Instead of always putting a timeframe on things, I tend to live my life very naturally, as I know I'm protected and constantly guided and directed by both my Guides, Angels and God -- but I live my life in God's Time, as I know whenever I am meant to accomplish something or do something, it will happen -- perhaps not in my time -- but in God's time, and this is a healthy approach to life that more and more people are catching on to!
"We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls.” Mother Teresa

A Place In The Sun: Don't Sweat The Small Stuff!
While there is so much negativity in the world, there is far more positive energy out there for all of us to energy. When a negative person comes into your life, try to understand the situation and source the best that you can, and then move forward. Don't try to help a negative person who is only interested in their own doom and gloom, as if you invade too much into their situation, you'll soon find yourself on the doom and gloom side of things. It's an unhealthy place that you do not deserve to be in!
Most people who are negative are very lost souls, and they have no other emotion to share with the world, except their negative outlook on life. Some of these people have tried to succeed in so many ways, and have either failed or given up on themselves and that has led to their negative ways of thinking, and how they project their own morals and energy into and onto others. Who enjoys spending time with a negative person? NO ONE!
Being positive is our only way to succeed, both in life and as part of our spiritual journey. When we are positive, we allow so much extra sunshine into our soul, and it puts infinite blissful energies around our spirit and the spirits of others we come in contact with.
There comes a time in life when you just have to stop sweating the small stuff, and not worrying about what every single person thinks about you. As with being a part of any general society, people will either like you, love you or hate your guts, and their precise reasons for the emotions they feel about you may not be clear to you, or clear to them either for that matter.
I remember a long time ago, while I was still in my teenage years, when someone negatively criticized my work because they were more interested in hearing a fairytale reading opposed to the truthful reading I gave them. Naturally, I was upset as no one had ever approached me before in such a negative fashion. Thank heavens my Grandmother was there to help sort me out. I remember her telling me 'As you continue to set out on your spiritual journey, you cant get all wrapped up in what everyone thinks and take it to heart. Don't sweat the small stuff, that's all this is! Everyone's always going to have an opinion and people will criticize you especially when your doing well!'. Those words from my Grandmother removed all of the energy from this situation and healed me to continue my lifelong journey of helping others. Thanks to my Grandmother, I've learned that there will always be many personal challenges, but if you work hard and do right, you will always arrive and will always hit your mark. My Grandfather once told me 'The easiest way to fail is to attempt to please everybody'. Isn't that the truth! Though I always put forth my best efforts, occasionally my best isnt good enough for everyone, but I know I've done well and that's all that matters.
I attribute my Grandmother as one of my main sources of strength, and of course my Grandfather who is in the Spirit World now. Without them it would have been a very difficult process growing up with the gift and being unsure and confused until I understood everything that was needed in order to gain further strength, guidance and direction.
My Guides & Angels have always taught me to find my own special place of spirituality just for me. I found this place early on in my life and though it has been a challenge more than a few times during my life to keep myself in this place, it's a place I wouldnt leave for nothing or no one. It's a good place, a place of knowing, a place of acceptance and a place full of endless amounts of patience, courage and strength. A place of spiritual oneness where mistakes are alright and time is my friend. Since I found my own state of spiritual oneness, I'm able to communicate my work and visions with the world and hopefully inspire a few people along the way as that's what I constantly find myself hungry for and working towards.
I'll be taking some time off to spend with family, so this will likely be one of my last blogs until later next month.
On of my Grandfathers favorite quotes: 'Gossip is the smoke that comes from the dirty tobacco pipes of those who diffuse it; it proves nothing but the bad taste of the smoker.' -G. Eliot

Focusing On The Present, Looking Toward The Future & Letting Go Of The Past
With everything that's going on in the world, sometimes it's easy (as empaths) to take in so much extra draining energy that can fill your channel to the max, and then that energy can sometimes make a person question themselves, their journey, their gifts and so on.
This happened to me about five years ago. I was almost at 'burnt out' mode. The schedule was out of control, and I wasnt blocking out enough 'me time', I became absent from all outings and friend get-togethers, very much focused on my work, and my work alone. While I still let my work lead my life, and I'm still very much a 'Duty First, Self Second!' kinda guy, I've still found ways and time to focus on other avenues of my life, my friends, family, etc. This is a very healthy place I find myself in now! :)
We need to focus on the present, and stop spending too much time dwelling on the past or the future, as when we do that we dont get to enjoy the present, which truly is a present and a blessing in disguise if only we can see it in that light. Even through the difficult times in life, we still realize that we are alive and that we are blessed in so many ways -- too many ways to count. Focusing on the present helps to let go of the past, and allows us alot of additional energies to look forward and toward our future.
I believe we all have bright futures ahead of us. Even if your past or present seems clouded and uncertain, please know that sometimes the best decision we can make in life is to walk away from something that just doesnt work for us anymore -- rather that be a dead-end job, an unhealthy relationship, difficult and draining friendships and so on -- as these can be painful blocks that keep us detoured from our target and where we need to be in life.
Understanding who you are and why you are here is something you already know deep within your soul, as that energy always surrounds your Spirit.
Focus on the present, while also realising that all you'll ever need for your future is within you now and always has been. All the strength, courage and relentless energies you are putting into your life in helping the lives of others will come back to you ten fold. Release painful memories and events from your past. Dwelling on them truly can block you from enjoying the future, and most important, the present.
Enjoy life -- even through the rocky times, always know that there is light at the end of the tunnel, and that light always surrounds your Spirit even when it may feel too dark for you to see it -- it's there and will always be!
Live your life!
Love your life!

Spending Time on Your Spiritual Journey
One of things I often hear from clients regarding their spiritual journey is the following statement:
'I don't have time in my life right now to devote to my spiritual journey, gifts and mission!'
Whenever I hear this it's almost like listening to sharp nails down a chalkboard, because no matter how busy we may think our lives are, there is still time in a 24-hour day that we should have time to devote to ourselves and our spiritual journey and direction and then comes the process of elimination.
1) Write out your entire daily schedule of events. Everything that you do from the time you wake up to the time you to go bed.
2) Notice anything that can be shortened or eliminated altogether? Spending a bit too much time online or on the phone or at the gym?
3) Find ways to cut corners in your schedule to allow more time to be spent on your spiritual journey. Certain things in our daily life can waste time when we should be spending the time on more important matters.
4) Write and map out your schedule every Sunday for the new week that lies ahead. Block out time needed for meditation, connecting with your Guides & Angels and understanding your spiritual mission.
5) Soar like an eagle to the highest good of your spiritual purpose! Now that you've found some new gaps in your schedule, fill them in with spiritual goals and time that is needed for your own spiritual growth and development.
Just another exercise that I've used over the years that has helped me tremendously, and I know it will help you!
